Week one, sort of...

Hi... I say sort of because it depends on from when you counting and also I thought it wise to blog soon because so many important things are happening that I may miss blogging them.

Goodbyes and Getting Ready...

Basically in the week leading up to DTS, I was basically at home for the Monday as I was carless, the tuesday went to doc to see to my ears... Later the day got immunized (ouch) and the night hung out with my student friends some at UWC, but had supper at CPUT...Was really awesome, fun and special. Wednesday went to varsity to deregister and shop with my mother and pay for the immunizations, (R1020! Yes!) and had a farewell party the night, but because i was late home, and some guests had already arrived, i was a little behind and therefore up and down and super tired, but at some point the evening simmered down a little more intimate and chilled, and got some hugs and words that I don't want to think about right now lest I get a tear again, which has been coming quite often these days if I think about anything that reminds me of home.

The Trip Down

So basically leaving last thursday morning didn't materialise...

Eggs At last!

I decided to do the Egg fundraiser(go to a house, explain the purpose for your fundraiser, gave them a flyer too, ask for an egg. Go to the next house repeat everything except asking for the egg, and say all you want from them is to buy the egg from you, for whatever 50c, R5)...Which I had been suggesting to people for a long time but the idea was never incorporated... But then got shy last minute, but got my cousin to help me out. Basically we went to 7 houses and made R118 and a promise to contribute towards one of my other needs... Funny thing was the first house didnt have eggs, so I got an apple and a banana, the second house bought it and then asked me where I got it and then gave me back my apple and a new banana to sell. :) Also at one of the houses met a girl who did DTS a while back and went to India and basically encouraged me about it.

So now have my registration fees...Like some say Woop! Praise God... Anywya will be doing another street or 2 today.

Welcome to Chandré's Journey...

As I am entering into a new season of ministry and spiritual growth I thought it apt to blog it on a seperate blog. I'm not entirely sure if I will always manage to seperate the blogs, but it's worth a try. The reason for the title was a while back God dropped the word Journey into my spirit. It's a journey that we're all on. We're all at different places, stages, but we're on a journey so every season on our road has been there to draw us nearer to God and let us learn new things so we can move forward. Christianity is not a matter of jumping through hoops or performing rituals, Its a journey of John 17:3 "Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. " -knowing God and along the path of that, it involves stepping out and being apart of advancing the kingdom of God on the earth. It's about growing in God and helping others to grow in God. So welcome to my journey... The personal growth I will most probably continue to blog on under God Revelations or Life Musings. The ministry growth and revelations on here. I may even blog some past events and just lessons learnt...

Welcome to my journey and I hope it inspires you to no. 1 Draw closer to God so he can draw nearer to you (James 4:8), no. 2 Ask God what is his will for your life is (James 1: 5 - 8, Phil 1:6, Isaiah 6:8), 3 Continue to share the love and life God has given to you with others... while remaining close to God and his leading.
